Coirvel Treatment Unit (CTU)

Coconut coir, which is an environmentally friendly agricultural waste, can be used to help the environment go green. Coirvel treatment unit (CTU) is an innovative technology which combines coconut coir and gravels, used for removal of organic matter from wastewater. Organic matter present in the wastewater is digested by the microbial film growing on coconut coir as well as on gravels. Further remaining suspended solids after silt trap shall be removed by the sieving action of the coconut coir and gravel.
